GETSLOCAL ("GETSLOCAL ", "we", "our") is firmly committed to respecting the privacy of our users and members in our dealings with you. 5. Other Information GETSLOCAL services are not available for children under 18 years of age. GETSLOCAL use all reasonable security measures to protect your information. 
GETSLOCAL is not responsible for any third-party products or services you may access via our services. GETSLOCAL will post a notice of any updates to this Privacy Policy. We may also notify you via means of electronic communications. Please note that your continued use of our services after any such notices constitutes your acceptance of the Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not otherwise apply to information that we or any of our affiliates and Members in direct dealings with your collect through other means (e.g. at any events, via telephone, or direct mail).

For example, to obtain our services, you will have to apply and register for an account. You may also supply us with information when you send a message on our services; sign up to receive communications from GETSLOCAL; register for favorites and deals; participate in customer surveys; or make direct contact with a question or request. If you wish to forward information to a friend using our services, we will ask you to provide your friend’s name, business name and email address. We may collect statistics on the information you forward. We do not sell or rent information about the friends to whom you forward articles or information, and we use your friends’ names and email addresses only for purposes of forwarding information subject to your request.

Passive data collection: Like most web-based services that offer services online, GETSLOCAL and our service providers may automatically collect on our logs certain technical information from your devices when you use our services.   The information we may collect includes:

GETSLOCAL, our service providers, and other third parties with whom we do business may collect information about you from publicly available sources, such as social media platforms, and commercially available resources. We may combine that information with the information described above and will handle the combined information as described in this Privacy Policy.    

Location Information - Our mobile applications may collect precise information about the location of your mobile device via your device’s GPS or cellular connectivity, but only with your express consent. Once you have consented to the collection of such precise location information via your mobile device, you may adjust this consent by managing your Location Services preferences through the settings of your mobile device. We may also be able to infer your location from other information that you provide or information that we collect passively, such as the known locations of nearby WiFi networks.

§  to Participating Members when you have elected to receive communications from them;

§  as required to process transactions and provide you with the services, products, or information you request; 
§  when we believe that disclosure is essential to protect the rights or property of our affiliates, Members or us, or to protect the security of you or others; 
§  to detect, prevent, or respond to potential fraud, intellectual property infringement, violations of our terms and condition, violations of law, or another misuse of our services; 
§  to progress with the negotiation or completion of a merger, acquisition, sale, or other transfer of all or part of our assets; or 
§  if all or part of the GETSLOCAL services are taken over by another organization, your personal information may move to that other organization;

GETSLOCAL do not store credit card information on our servers, we engage the services of a credit card processing third party for processing credit cards or other payments, we require those third parties to comply with applicable Payment Card Industry standards. We may use aggregated information with third parties that provide services for us. We may also use aggregated information with others so that they can better understand our users, providing for example, gender, age, or geographical analysis of our users. GETSLOCAL does not sell, rent, barter, or give away user lists, users' names, email addresses, or mailing addresses so that advertisers or other third parties may send you ads or other solicitations. Please note that when you voluntarily disclose personal information publicly on our services that information may be collected and used by other parties and you may receive unsolicited communications from others. When you share information from features offered on our services by other companies, known as ‘third-party plugins’, the privacy settings of the other companies for those govern how they share this information. When you are logged into our services, your registration details may be displayed, and contact information may be viewed. For your security be sure to log out of your account and take steps to ensure that others cannot view your information without your knowledge and consent.       

12. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND CONTENT GETSLOCAL services and communications may contain links to or content from websites or other online services provided by third parties. We expect our partners and third-party providers to respect your privacy; however, you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the collection and use of your information by other services and websites that are not under our control. The privacy practices of third parties are governed by their privacy policies, and we recommend that you review the privacy policies of all websites and online services that you use, view, or visit.    

13. USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES GETSLOCAL may use cookies, and other technologies to collect information when you use our services. These technologies allow us to remember you, your devices and your preferences when you visit our services.  A cookie is a text-only string of information that a website stores on your computer or device in the cookie file associated with the browser that you use to access the website. Most major websites use cookies. Cookies alone generally cannot be used to identify you. But if you choose the "Remember Me" feature or similar features, a cookie will store information that helps remember you yourself, such as your username.    

Cookies help us recognize you when you return to our websites and hold information from one visit to the next for your ease of use. Cookies also help us better understand how people use our services We may also share information that we collect with third parties, such as service providers, advertisers, and advertising companies as described in this Privacy Policy.

14. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY GETSLOCAL services are not directed to, nor do we knowingly collect information from, children under the age of 18, nor will we knowingly allow children under 18 to register for or become users of our services. If we discover that we have received any information from a child under 18, we will take all practical steps to promptly remove that information. If you believe we have collected or processed information from anyone under 18 without parental consent, please contact us via any of the channels listed below.           

15. YOUR CHOICES In general, if you register to use any of our services, you may update the information you have provided to us for any of our services by visiting the account notification page of that service. When you register for our services, you may be able to indicate your preferences regarding marketing communications in the account notification page of our services, you may be able to amend your preferences and select the categories of communications that interest you. When we or our affiliates send you emails containing offers that may be of interest to you, those emails may contain links via which you may opt out of receiving those communications. Please note that you will not be able to opt-out of receiving certain service or transactional communications relating to your account unless you cancel your registration or account. Furthermore, although your account is cancelled, we may retain your information for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.   

16. SECURITY GETSLOCAL use industry-standard security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of personal information under our control, however, no information system can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Additionally, we cannot be responsible for information that you transmit over networks that we have no control or information that you choose to share or disclose publicly. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords or other account information. GETSLOCAL make reasonable efforts to secure the account information pages and other registration locations for our services, and as such, they can only be accessed by you with your user details or by our authorized personnel.     

17. NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS - YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS: If you are a California resident, you have the right to receive: a) information identifying all third-party companies to which we may have disclosed, within the past year, personal information about you and your family for those companies’ direct marketing purposes; and b) a description of the categories of personal information disclosed. 18. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF INFORMATION If you use our services, you are agreeing that we may collect, use and transfer your personal information as described in this privacy policy, including transfers outside the country where you reside.                    

19. AMENDMENTS TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY GETSLOCAL reserves the right to amend and update this Privacy Policy by posting a new Privacy Policy on this site. We recommend that you review this Privacy Policy often for any changes, as your continued use of our services after any amendments have been made constitutes acceptance of those amendments. If you are a registered user of our services and we make any revisions that substantially change how we use or share the information previously collected from you through our services, we will notify you of those amendments we will post a notice of any substantial change to this policy by posting a notice on our website.
